“I graduated from Carl Albert State College with an associate’s degree in Allied Health, and continued with an associate’s degree in Clinical Massage Therapy from the National Institute of Massotherapy.  I started Action Sports Massage after working at John Roberts Spa for a year. I had a desire to work with athletes and people looking for the better quality of life and competition that massage therapy can give.  Teaming up with Brian Yoak and Crossfit Legacy gave me that opportunity. I now get to watch as people grow and reach their goals. I help them reach those goals by removing obstacles from soft tissue, allowing the body to heal itself. I also help prevent injuries through regular massage. Being a Crossfit athlete and starting to compete myself helps me to understand the goals of the community I work with.”

In Thea’s spare time she enjoy’s Crossfit, hiking, reading, teaching, and seeing a client do something they thought they never could do again.

CrossFit Legacy’s Yoga Classes are held on Thursdays at 7:30pm.  Melissa Perez is a 200-hour RYT via The Yoga Alliance + Yoga Strong in Canton, OH. Her first yoga class was at a Bikram studio in 2013 – no, she was not aware of the 105 degree room and yes, even her shins were sweating! Since then, Melissa has learned how to create inner heat through breath and movement and encourages her students to do the same. Having played sports for the majority of her life, she values variety in her workouts and has totally reaped the benefits of adding yoga to her sweaty endeavors!
